James Michael Thomas Toman, (Jim), born on Nov 24 1948 in Manchester, Connecticut, passed away on November 21 2020 in Mims, Florida. Jim is survived by his partner Denise M. Aliano of Mims, Florida, Denise’s son Eric Catania, Jim’s brother John Joseph Toman and John’s wife Cherie of Killingworth, Connecticut. Jim is also survived by 4 nieces and nephews, Laura Wood of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Michael Wood of Storrs, Connecticut, Erik Toman, and Megan Toman. Jim was predeceased by his dad, Francis Michael Toman, (1921 – 1965), his mom, Emilia (Emily) (Sasiela) Toman, (1927 – 1994), and his sister Colleen (Toman) Wood, (1950 – 2009).

Denise’s son Eric shared the following glimpse into Jim’s life:

  • Jim loved small collectibles/lunchboxes, Mustangs (cars), and collectible model cars.
  • He was a huge fan of Ham radio and was very proud to have passed the tests for licensing as a Ham operator.
  • He loved to have some fun with phony telemarketers and scammers who would call the house almost daily.
  • Jim’s favorite vacation was to take a cruise to the Caribbean.
  •  He was a big fan of Westerns like Gunsmoke and Bonanza.
